Sorry but there is little or no support for this little script. Please follow the link and its instructions. Note that the original version of the script did not compile under Access'95. Use this one, kindly corrected by Miguel de Reyna, for use under Access'95. Both versions are compatible with Access 2000. We hope you enjoy the version 2.0 of this free converter of MS-Access to mSQL v1, v2 and MySQL. Stay tuned to this address for until the end of 2000, version 3 will follow, with support for generation of database updates (instead of entire databases), amongst other improvements! Quick FAQ: "I'm getting 'User defined type not defined' or 'Undefined data type' for data type 'database'" - this may happen under Access 2000. You need to go into Tools | References in Visual Basic and add "Microsoft DAO 3.6 object library". Also, this library needs to have a higher precedence than "Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects 2.1 Library". (thank you to all users that reported this issue, and the way to fix it) "I'm getting a compiler error!" - You'll need to go back to the Office SETUP program to install all special Access programming options. "When I run it, I get a file-related error!" - By default, the script tries to create the files in C:\TEMP. You probabily don't have this folder in your system: create it or change the script options. "Where are the resulting files??" - By default you may find them in C:\TEMP. See also the script options. "What do I do with the resulting files?" - Pipe/paste them into MySQL's monitor program. Please read MySQL's documentation for further info. |
